Frequently Asked Questions

What is a reach stacker used for?

A reach stacker is used for lifting, stacking, and horizontal transport of palletized goods. Its distinguishing feature is a mast that can move forward and backward, allowing it to reach into racking or pick up pallets in tight spaces where a standard stacker cannot maneuver.

What is the difference between a reach stacker and a counterbalance stacker?

A reach stacker uses a moving mast to "reach" for the load, whereas a counterbalance pallet stacker uses a heavy weight in the rear of the truck to balance the load. Counterbalance models do not have front legs (outriggers), allowing them to handle closed-bottom pallets and work in areas where straddle legs would be obstructed.

What lifting height does the L16 offer?

The L16 featured on this page offers a specialized lift height of 28 inches, making it an excellent choice for low-level stacking, localized material handling, or workstation support.

What type of applications is the LR20 suitable for?

The LR20 pallet stacker is suitable for heavy-duty warehouse stacking, loading and unloading vehicles where outriggers won't fit, and handling various pallet sizes (including Gitterboxes and closed pallets) that a standard straddle stacker cannot lift.

Are electric reach stackers suitable for warehouse operations?

Yes. Electric reach stackers are ideal for indoor warehouse operations because they produce zero emissions, operate quietly, and have a small turning radius, making them much more efficient in narrow aisles than internal combustion equipment.
